About the Library
The Central Library, serving as the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), is a well-equipped facility with a collection of 20,062 books and operates on an Open Access System. It is fully automated using KOHA (version 23.11), an Open Source Library Management System, ensuring seamless access for faculty members and students. Each year, the library enhances its collection with new books across various disciplines.
In addition to a wide range of books, the library subscribes to newspapers in both English and vernacular languages, along with weekly, fortnightly, and monthly magazines and periodicals. These resources are designed to enrich students’ knowledge and keep them updated on diverse topics.
Housed in a dedicated building, the library includes a central hall, a reading hall, and one stack rooms It operates from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. An advisory committee, consisting of the Principal, Librarian, and faculty representatives from the science and humanities departments, meets periodically to address and resolve library-related matters.
