About the Department

The Department of Botany was started in the academic year 1972-1973 which offers U.G, P.G, M.Phil and Ph.D Courses with 206 students and 7 part-time research scholars. We have the following Specialization area
1. Cytogenetic 2. Microbiology 3. Herbal botany 4.Bio technology


6 Staff members of the department are Ph.D holders and other 3 are doing Ph.D. We have conducted 1 UGC Sponsored National Seminar Entitled on "Exploring Techniques in Biological Science"
