About the Department:
BBA is a popular undergraduate program and graduates of this program will have the skills necessary to help businesses grow and succeed in today’s competitive economy. Students will be equipped with core business skills and entrepreneur skills, in order to start an own business.
BBA Retail Management programme was started in the year 2009. It provides exposure to the core fundamentals such as Finance, accounting, Retail management and marketing, and also provides the students with enhanced training in human resource management, entrepreneurship and communication. Students will therefore meet employer demands of being well rounded and multi skilled It enrich the students with soft skills and Managerial skills, such as communication, leadership and decision making which helps them achieve their career goals.
Training is given through class room lectures, projects, seminars, workshops, ICT and internships. With enriched TANSCHE Syllabus and Flagship programme of Tamil Nadu governments’ NAAN Mudalvan scheme the students are well trained and updated with recent developments to gain placements in competitive world.

Objectives and Goals:
The department aims at students’ progression either in higher studies or in work. The department also has a plan to start MBA programme in near future.
Key Initiatives and Projects:
The department as first of its kind has initiated students projects at Under graduate level at government colleges.
Collaborations and Partnerships:
The department has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU’s) with MAM School of Business, Trichy and Chennai Oscar Academy to train the students for Government Competitive exams and for Higher studies.
Performance Metrics:
Regular feedback is obtained from the students and necessary steps is taken to provide the students
with more satisfaction. The recent report on feedback is given for your understanding.
Resources and Infrastructure:
The department has a well-developed library with 833 books and also the students has an access to college general library and Computer Lab.
Future Plans and Directions:
The department also has a plan to start MBA programme in near future.
